Collage and symmetrical and non symmetrical balance. This piece (L) was coming along good, till I started to work on the sky area ... let me explain, the ground area was very precise and geometric, however the sky was very chaotic and the whole composition was just not right, that is why I decided to make it a complete chaos, I think that the colors I used reflected my mood and anger, notice that I did not used red. I also I want to add that I should have used a bigger board for this exercise, at least one triple the size.
The second piece (R) was a reflection of my mood from piece one I had a black cloud over my head, I decided to be simple and direct with the project the black was applied by sweeping a line of paint toward the opposite side and the gray were done using diluted black applied by means of drops, I do like the hard edges that the typed "non symmetric" offer, but they may be to much for some. I will NEVER EVER make another collage so small, EVER.
